Mr. Carroll has been instrumental in expanding Carroll Enterprises, Inc., a company founded in 1967. In 1985, Mr. Carroll was appointed as general agent of the Small Business Insurance Agency (SBIA). He grew SBIA by first establishing relationships with the industry’s leading carriers, then recruiting an external broker network to expand SBIA’s products into life, health and 401K offerings. SBIA has multiple service locations and a major online presence, serving both consumers and financial institutions. Today, SBIA is recognized as a national distributor and an innovator in quality broker service.

Mr. Carroll created the concept of SterlingBridge in 2010 to increase the firm’s presence in the advanced underwriting market. This move furthers his philosophy of offering brokers the highest quality underwriting experience, a value shared by the employees working under Mr. Carroll.

Mr. Carroll is a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, with over 25 years of life insurance experience. He has received numerous industry awards, along with being past president of the Worcester, MA chapters of the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Mr. Carroll also holds NASD Series 24 and Series 7 licenses.

Brian Carroll has a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.
